Tell us when things change
We need to know when things change for your organisation and for the children in your service. If you don't tell us, you may be overpaid and will need to pay the money back.
This includes children who are:
- no longer attending
- starting ECE
- reducing their hours
- absent for more than 3 weeks.
How to tell us
You can fill out our 'Child details changes form' and tell us:
- your 9 digit Work and Income provider number
- the name of your organisation
- full details of the change.
Or you can contact us and we'll update this for you over the phone.
What happens next
We'll update these changes as soon as possible and let you know when we've done this.
Tell us about changes to your:
- ownership (OSCAR approval is not transferable, even if there are no changes to staff, policies or facilities)
- site (eg, address, adding another site)
- programme
- location
- mailing address
- legal name
- known as name
- street address
- phone number
- email address
- opening hours
- temporary closure
- permanent closure
- fees.
How to tell us
You can fill out our 'Childcare providers change in circumstances form' and tell us:
- your 9 digit Work and Income service number
- the name of your organisation
- full details of the change.
Or you can contact us and we'll update this for you over the phone.
If anything else changes, contact us so we can see if this will affect your payments.
If there have been changes in the parent's circumstances, eg, their income or change in their child's hours, they need to contact us as this may affect their subsidy.
If they are paid too much because of changes to their circumstances, it may be their responsibility to pay this back.
